ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING STATEMENT

The Annual General Meeting of Dawson International PLC (“the Company”) will be held today at 12 noon in Kinross.  At that meeting Andy Bartmess, Chief Executive Officer, will give a short presentation reviewing the results and activities of the Company which will be available on the Company’s website  www.dawson-international.co.uk

Andy Bartmess  will also provide the following comment on current trading:

“First quarter trading has been in line with expectations. Whilst we are seeing some signs of recovery, selling conditions remain very challenging, particularly in the US. Commodity price inflation is also becoming a factor in cashmere fibre and cotton, impacting our Knitwear and Home Furnishings divisions respectively.  Despite this we enter 2010 with positive momentum, with a much stronger financial position and a revitalised organisation well positioned to grow market share and capitalise on improving economic conditions.”
